Seated in my turquoise and white checkered chair A patch of moss brushed under my shoe, asking me to stay Surrounding me grew grass and plants of greenery, so fair Nurtured by sun throughout the day Birds emerged, composing and chirping their tune While dandelions, milk-white, and sunshine-yellow flowers broke through the ground A seed of the dandelion flew to grow into the summer coming soon Passing by three-leaf clovers speckled all around By it, there laid a brown leaf to behold Gnarled about at its corners Along with a squashed pine cone of old Legend of the chilly Autumn foreigners Looming over stood three interlocked trees Massive and endless oaks piercing the sky Dwarfing a little seedling, with leaves of three Admiring its guardian up so high Scattered about the oaks were twigs and broken bark slates Yet shimmered a polished pebble, prideful in the sunlight And ants trekking over fallen leaves and acorns, at steady rates Below the blotches of lichen, embracing the bottom of the oaks tight Then gracefully a sparrow glided down Pecking on worms from the free evergreen It wore streaks of russet brown Quickly taking off, as if never seen At that moment, my arms were warmed, when the Sun broke through a cloud Harmoniously with the soft breeze that shook my sleeves There stood a young tree, engulfed in snow-white blossoms, peacefully proud A totem of the past winter and the renewing spring leaves Spring at Last Spring at Last Here comes Spring It comes at Last
